Original Position (“OP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to participation in the OP Pilot Program and to future use of the OP platform and donor-advised fund (“OPDAF”). By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal information you provide: name, email address, payment details, survey responses, financial information, giving preferences, and other information you choose to share with us.
  • Program data: responses to exercises, values assessments, and other materials submitted during the Pilot Program.
  • Transaction data: contributions to OPDAF, recommended grants, and related account activity.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and site usage, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and improve our services.
  • Process contributions and grants through OPDAF.
  • Deliver the Pilot Program and related communications.
  • Conduct research on giving behavior and financial decision making.
  • Improve our digital tools, including training AI models. Any data used for AI training is first anonymized and aggregated so it cannot be traced back to you.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate OP, including Stripe, Supabase, Paperform, WeWeb, and Google Analytics. These providers are permitted to use information only to perform services for OP.

We may also share information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as your account is active. Accounts with no activity for 12 months will be deleted, along with associated personal information, except where retention is required by law (such as for financial records).

Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Your Choices

  • You may opt out of receiving non-essential communications from us by following unsubscribe instructions in our emails.
  • You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at info@original-position.org.
